WHO ARE EXEMPTED FROM ZAKAH ? The following are exempt from Zakah : Private abode, personal clothing, furniture, weapons, animals used for transport, Jewels such as pearls, rubies, etc... which are not traded in, books that are not for trade, equipment used for handicraft from which the owner earns his living, such as a hammer, etc.
